Automation Consultant – The Role
As an Automation Consultant, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimising automated infrastructure and platform solutions for enterprise customers in the Netherlands. In this role, you will work across Linux, cloud, and virtualised environments. As a result, clients are able to improve stability, scalability, and operational efficiency through well-designed automation and best practices.
Moreover, you will collaborate closely with customers and internal teams to translate technical requirements into robust, automated solutions. Because of this, clear communication and ownership are essential parts of the role, especially when working with Dutch-speaking customers and international stakeholders.

Must Have Skills and Experience
To succeed as an Automation Consultant in the Netherlands, you should have:
- Strong Linux experience, particularly Red Hat
- Cloud platforms including Azure, AWS and GCP
- Configuration management and automation using Ansible
- Experience with service management tooling such as monitoring, alerting and ticketing systems
- Scripting skills using Python, Bash, PowerShell and JSON
- Solid understanding of virtualisation technologies, including VMware, Hyper V, Proxmox, and AHV
Nice to Have
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation or Bicep
- Container technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenShift and Docker
- Backup and recovery solutions including Commvault, Veeam or similar tools
- Storage technologies such as NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE or Nutanix
- Experience with Git and GitOps workflows
- Identity and access management knowledge
- CI/CD pipeline experience
