Finance Consultant

We are supporting a Dutch technology consultancy that is hiring a Finance Consultant to work on finance transformation, ERP implementation, process improvement, and business systems projects.
This role is ideal for a Dutch-speaking Finance Consultant with strong experience across finance processes, ERP systems, procurement workflows, reporting, and operational improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with customers to understand business requirements, improve finance processes, and support the successful delivery of ERP and finance transformation projects.
Finance Consultant Role Overview
As a Finance Consultant, you will support customers with the analysis, design, implementation, and optimisation of finance and ERP-related processes. You will work across areas such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reporting, month-end close, procurement, spend visibility, and process governance.
This opportunity will suit someone who understands both finance operations and business systems, and who can translate customer requirements into practical process and system improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support finance and ERP implementation projects from discovery through to delivery.
- Analyse finance, accounting, procurement, and reporting processes.
- Work with customers to define requirements, improve workflows, and support system adoption.
- Support process areas such as GL, AP, AR, reporting, month-end close, procurement, and spend management.
- Help improve finance governance, spend visibility, process efficiency, and digital adoption.
- Work with ERP, procurement, or finance systems such as NetSuite, SAP Ariba, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with finance teams, business stakeholders, consultants, and technical teams.
- Support business transformation and change initiatives across finance and operational functions.
- Provide clear advice to customers on finance process improvement and ERP best practice.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience as a Finance Consultant, ERP Consultant, Finance Transformation Consultant, Business Consultant, or Functional Consultant.
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes.
- Knowledge of GL, AP, AR, reporting, month-end close, and financial controls.
- Experience with ERP implementation, system design, process improvement, or ERP consulting projects.
- Experience working with finance, procurement, supply chain, or business transformation processes.
- Ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into system and process improvements.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent Dutch and English language skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites when required.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with NetSuite, SAP Ariba, or similar ERP and procurement platforms.
- Background in procurement transformation, spend management, or finance operations.
- Experience managing indirect spend across categories such as IT, HR, Marketing, Logistics, Fleet, or Consulting.
- Experience improving procurement governance, spend visibility, process efficiency, and digital adoption.
- Consultancy experience within ERP, finance systems, or business transformation environments.
