Java Consultant

We are looking for an AI Engineer to help design, build, and operate production-grade AI solutions for clients. This role is ideal for someone with strong software engineering foundations, hands-on AI and cloud experience, and the ability to support technical teams through complex delivery.
You will work across AI, data, cloud, and engineering teams to build robust AI products, platforms, APIs, data pipelines, and MLOps solutions. The focus is not only on building innovative systems, but making sure they are reliable, observable, secure, and ready for real-world use.
What you will do as an AI Engineer
As an AI Engineer, you will work on end-to-end engineering for AI products and platforms, from discovery and solution design through to production deployment and ongoing optimisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering AI, LLM, machine learning, and automation solutions
- Designing scalable technical solutions for client AI products
- Following and improving engineering standards, patterns, and best practices
- Building and improving AI services, APIs, data pipelines, and MLOps workflows
- Providing hands-on technical input across AI, ML, and data engineering work
- Reviewing code, troubleshooting issues, and improving solution quality
- Collaborating with architects, product owners, and client stakeholders
- Ensuring AI systems meet requirements for performance, reliability, security, observability, and cost efficiency
- Improving tooling, automation, and engineering practices across teams
This AI Engineer role requires someone who can balance technical depth with delivery ownership. You should be comfortable working close to code, while also being able to support technical discussions and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
What you bring
The ideal AI Engineer has experience delivering AI, machine learning, or data-intensive systems into production within a consulting, product, or enterprise environment.
You bring:
- Experience delivering AI, ML, or data platforms into production
- Strong software engineering skills in Python, Java, or similar languages
- Experience with CI/CD, testing, DevOps, and Git-based workflows
- Hands-on experience with cloud and data platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, or Snowflake
- Familiarity with modern AI tooling, including LLM frameworks, vector databases, agent frameworks, and MLOps tools
- Experience mentoring engineers or supporting technical decision-making
- Strong understanding of security, data privacy, and responsible AI in production systems
